2010 Board of Directors: Boise Racquet & Swim Club

Please welcome our three newest BRSC board members whose elections were announced during the 2009 Annual Stockholders meeting held November 19th.

They are: Jerry Adams, Jonathan Bloomer and Mike Kirby. Also on the slate were two directors who were added to the board by appointment to one year terms and stood for election. They were elected and will serve three year terms: Dave Northness and Rich Colbert. We now have an eleven member board of directors. Our thanks to everyone who participated in the election process and a special thanks to Trish Quarles and Dave Roberts who served on the election committee.

Pursuant to our by-laws, election of officers took place at our regular December meeting. Congratulations are in order for officers who will serve during the coming year:

Jim Colby, President; Jenny Grunke, Vice President; Sheryl Putnam, Secretary; Mike Frelleson, Treasurer.

Our profound thanks and appreciation go to the three retiring board members. They are President Mark Phillips, Roger Hazelwood and Ed Henderson. Roger has served more than one term, was President of the board and a valued member of the Personnel and Finance Committees. His expertise in finance will continue on a volunteer basis as an ex-officio non-voting member of the Finance Committee. Mark, who served as President this past year, completes his 3-year term. He was instrumental in gaining the financing and was a driving force throughout the planning and construction of the beautiful, new indoor courts. Ed also completes a 3-year term and provided guidance and knowledge on the Communication Committee. He has volunteered to assist in working with staff on our interactive on-line system, which will save considerable time and money while enhancing services to our members.

It is hoped that you will take the time to thank our outgoing board members and make the effort to become acquainted with the new members. We have a strong board with a diversity of experience and expertise that will serve the club and its members well.
