I have enjoyed being a student of group exercise classes for 30+ years, from Jazzercise to Step Aerobics to Kick Boxing to Spin and everything else in between. But it wasn't until "Zumba" that I was inspired enough to take it a step further. I was hooked. In 2011 I became a licensed Zumba Fitness instructor. Zumba combines dance and fitness moves with Latin based & International music but also includes all genres from oldies to today's hits. Zumba has several formats so it can include all ages and fitness levels. I am licensed in Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Sentao, Zumba Toning and Zumba Kids. It's a fun way to burn calories and stay in shape!

emily chambers

Emily is originally from Northern California and spent many childhood years exploring waters and mountains throughout the Pacific Ocean, Yosemite, and Big Sur to name a few. This active lifestyle naturally led to athletics many years, but then led to gyms and group exercise classes in pursuit of continued recreation.

Emily first began practicing Yoga in 2007, but only after taking some Pilates classes first because she was too intimidated to try Yoga first. The first class got her ‘hooked’ to say the least; the challenge and calm it brought was empowering and necessary as a teen navigating early adulthood. Emily lived in Seattle for seven years where she studied Psychology at Seattle University, then began a career as a Yoga teacher and fitness instructor. Emily initially wanted to pursue a career in Counseling, but realized that movement was an alternative that offered similar benefit, and was able to reach more people at a given time.

She attended her first teacher training in 2013 through YogaFit, which led to many more trainings and certifications the following years in fitness formats in addition to Yoga. Currently as a personal trainer and Yoga/fitness instructor, she is wrapping up her Master’s in Kinesiology at Boise State University.
